This policy explains what microcom data centre does with information collected through www.microcom.in. It is separate from the contractual terms that govern data handled on behalf of clients under a processing engagement — those obligations are set out in the relevant agreement and are more specific than anything on this page.
We collect only what you choose to send us. If you complete the enquiry form we receive the name, organization, job title, telephone number, e-mail address and city you enter, the services you tick, and the message you write. If you subscribe to the newsletter we receive the e-mail address you enter. We do not ask for payment details or customer data through this website, and you should not send either by e-mail.
To respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to scope proposed work
To send the updates you subscribed to, until you ask us to stop
To keep a record of correspondence for our own accountability
We do not sell, rent or trade the information you send us, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to the enquiry you made.
We disclose enquiry information only to the microcom staff who need it to respond, and to service providers acting on our instructions where that is necessary to operate this website or our mail systems. We may also disclose information where required to do so by law or by a competent authority.
Data processed on behalf of a client under an engagement is handled under that engagement's terms, not this policy. In summary, client engagements are segregated physically and logically, access is granted by role and logged, media handling is controlled from receipt through to destruction, and every batch carries an audit trail. We do not use client data for any purpose other than performing the contracted service, and we do not name a client as a reference without their written agreement.
Enquiry correspondence is retained for as long as it remains relevant to the relationship and to our own record-keeping obligations, and is disposed of securely thereafter. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.
You can ask us what enquiry information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it and stop contacting you. Write to andheri@microcom.in or to the corporate office address below and we will action the request.
